Tena Woenker started Projects with a Purpose, LLC in 2013 to manage the Taste of the Arts festival for Arts United. Tena realized that many organizations and municipal departments do not have the capacity to develop new programs or to obtain and manage the funding needed for a new infrastructure project. Since then, Projects with a Purpose has expanded to assist other organizations by helping them with grant writing and management, creating new events, and with fundraising projects.

She usually works with a committee or staff members, providing guidance and logistical support in areas such as project management, fundraising, and community organizing. Once strategies are planned to facilitate the engagement process, Projects with a Purpose can oversee implementation, help build relationships, and foster collaborations to bring ideas to fruition.

Tena Woenker is the Principal Consultant for Projects with a Purpose, LLC. In her career, she served nonprofit economic development, arts and culture, and downtown development organizations for more than 15 years. For the last 10 years, Tena has managed small municipalities as well as their planning, economic development and construction projects.

Tena became an Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs Official Certified Grant Administrator in 2022. In her career, she has secured and managed dozens of grants totaling more than $4.5 million. Tena is driven by a passion to serve local, charitable missions and to support community vitality. Her professional relationships across multiple sectors in Northeast Indiana includes a network of peers and sub-contractors who can provide additional expertise as required to succeed.
